Air tube clutch is a friction clutch that uses compressed air as manipulating power source.    Generally, this product is used on devices that need large torque transfer and more rapid transmission, such as drilling machinery, watercraft, large mechanical press machines, excavators, ball mills, rubber machinery, etc.

The air tube clutch has a large transmission torque, combining smooth, easy to install, can make a little compensation of deflection slave shaft.   The features of the slave drive part are, small inertance, long service life, compact structure, and sealing goods.  Air tube has large deformation resistance and high cost to the material.   There are certain restrictions to the usage, higher than 60ºC will reduce the working life, and lower than -20ºC will make it brittle. The joint elements of the pneumatic clutch adopted friction discs, friction blocks, etc.

Air tube clutches can be divided into common type and ventilation type two types according to the construction forms.
