The upper guide board, or upper guide plate, is a crucial wear component located within the power end of a 3NB series triplex mud pump. Its primary function is to guide and constrain the movement of the crosshead assembly, ensuring it moves in a perfectly straight linear path along the centerline of the pump. The crosshead converts the rotating motion of the crankshaft and connecting rods into the linear reciprocating motion required by the piston rods.
